We are live again

by Allen

Hello Everybody,

I apologize for not blogging these past two weeks, we transfered our website from one hosting company to another and the process was not as smooth as we hoped but we are 90%. I would really to thank my web designer for all his help, Lenwood Brown of Fixmedia, I would have been so lost without him.
I want to catch you up on our events this past couple of weeks, the basement remodel is coming along very nicely, we completed the rough framing, the rough electric and the insulation. We also hung the drywall, that was a lot of drywall, and we just finished the taping of the walls and texturing the ceiling. The Homeowner cannot believe how nicely and smoothly the job is coming along.
While the drywall was being taped by Keith’s brother, Brian Allen, we had time to redo the trim on a the exterior of a customer in Amherst, NH and we also installed a beam in the garage of another customer in Amherst, NH.
For the next few weeks we will be busy installing trim and baseboard, painting and installing finish stairs of the basement in Milford NH.
If anyone has any questions for us or would like to see some of prior projects please visit our website at www.allenremodeling.com .

Framing is complete for the Milford NH basement

by Allen

Basement During

We framed over 900 sq feet of the basement to include a bathroom and laundry room. The next step is to insulate the room and then hang drywall. The homeowner is very excited about the transformation, speed and thoroughness of this job. A basement remodel you can add space, square footage, to your home without putting a home addition on.

Building a Home Addition Amherst NH

by Allen

Several years ago a Homeowner in Amherst, NH requisitioned us to build them a two story addition off the entire back of their house. This grand addition was the entire width of the house, approximately 40’ wide and they extended the house by another 12’ to include 2 finished floors of living space and a extending their walkout basement.
This was a large project, we extended all of the bedrooms upstairs and remodeled the children’s bathroom and provided a master bathroom remodel. On the main living level, we provided a kitchen remodel and a half bathroom remodel. We built a new sunroom and extended their existing living room.
Their house is a masterpiece, gorgeously remodeled and decorated. Read below what how the Homeowner felt about the experience:
“Allen Remodeling works as a great team! Barbara provides exceptional customer service and prompt follow through, and Keith provides skilled and professional construction services. He has a caring attitude and works hard to take the stress out of any home improvement project. Keith’s attention to detail and vision give him the talent to take a designer’s plans and improve upon them. It was a joy to work with Barbara and Keith. We enjoy living in our addition and so appreciate all your help and hard work!” -Susan, Amherst NH

We recommend PJ Currier Lumber in Amherst NH

by Allen

Last month we built two decks, one for a customer in Merrimack NH and one for a customer in Bedford, NH. Keith recommended that the customer visit PJ Currier Lumber in Amherst NH and look at their samples of Azek Decking (which is made out of PVC, plastic, materials). Both customers loved the decking material and were very impressed with the customer service that PJ Currier Lumber provided. Azek Decking, which is PVC decking, is made completely of PVC materials where as composite materials or composite decking is made of a combination of wood shavings and plastic. Composite decking has the potential for swelling and moving where PVC decking does not move and is more stain resistant. Give Allen Remodeling a call or visit our website at www. allenremodeling.com and find out how we can build a better deck or patio for you!

Milford NH Basement Remodel

by Allen

We just started a basement remodel in Milford NH this past week. From the picture you can see that Keith has just set up his tools and had some studs delivered. The finish area will equal approximately 800sq ft, the unfinished storage and mechanics room space is about 200 sq ft. The Homeowner wanted a big open space room as a ‘hang out’ room, we are also building a ½ bathroom and a laundry. And yes, of course there will be plenty of closet and storage space. Keep posted to our blog at www. allenremodeling.com for our progress on this project.
