Keith Painting in Milford NH
This is a picture of Keith taking a step back, puffing out his chest, and admiring his painting skills with the new deck in the background. The house was previously a dark red color, dating back to the 1970’s, which did not match the new, bright and shinny deck that we just finished installing last week. Nancy, our wonderful customer we are working with, had a paint consultation with an in-house designer at Milford Paint (Milford NH) and they both picked out a fantastic shade of grey (this is only the first coat). After the first coat was applied, Nancy took a picture and went back to Milford Paint to find a color for the front door which will a berry shade. I am so excited to see the final product and show you the before and after pictures of this job.
I would like to send a big thank you to Keith and Lee-Ann Blanc for being such great customers and making our job easy. Keith just sent me a wonderful testimonal that I would love to share:
We recently had our basement remodeled by Allen Remodeling and are extremely pleased with the outcome and the entire process. From the start, my wife and I felt very comfortable with both Keith and Barbara, especially, how they listened to us and tried to capture everything we wanted. We actually met three times before any work ever started just to make sure that all our questions were answered. Barbara did an excellent job with the customer service end of the business, frequently calling to make sure we were pleased with the progress. She also spent a lot of time working with the town due to some special requirements for our basement. The focus was on our needs and not that of Allen Remodeling. Changes in the plan were never an issue. Keith and his crew also did a great job moving the job forward in a timely and professional manner. At the end of each day it was nice to see the work area picked up and the job was completed on schedule! Our basement is better than ever expected due to the expertise of Allen Remodeling. –Keith Blanc, Milford NH
We finished the deck in Milford NH and it came out beautiful, the Homeowner is just so excited and thrilled with the outcome. She sent me an email “Isn’t she beautiful.” “Just went onto the deck and down the ramp…it is ever so cool! I just LOVE it, even more with the ramp and the railings. I even like the steps!”
Allen Remodeling has built 9 decks already this year and we are going on an estimate in Merrimack NH to provide a quote for a 14X40 structure with a cement pad underneath. This year Homeowners are investing in their own homes and beautifying what they have, maybe it is a new no maintenance deck, a screen porch to keep the bugs away or repairing the rotted siding or a damaged roof from this past years winter weather.
Whatever your home improvement needs are Allen Remodeling provides extra care, customer service and support to help build your dreams.
We are almost there, ramp is built
The deck in Milford NH is almost complete, the ramp is just about built but we ran into a snag. The Homeowner wanted to replace the ramp from the previous deck with a similar slant as before. The Town of Milford NH requires any ramp to be built to meet handicap ramp code. With a slope of 1” per foot the ramp would be three times the size of the patio and would look extremely out of place. Keith had a great suggestion, end the ramp at the end of the deck, merge to a platform and then build four stairs, if in the future they do need a handicap ramp then you can change the configuration. Our philosophy is to devise a solution in which everyone will be satisfied.
The weather has been 90-100 degrees this week. Keith and his crew were fortunate enough that the back of the house they are building the deck on is entirely in the shade all day long and were still able to work. As you notice from this picture, the deck has been framed, the decking and the railings are installed and we are now ready to install the ramp. The Homeowner wanted just a regular ramp built but the Town of Milford NH requires any ramp being built to be a handicap ramp, handicap accessible. Take note to how unattractive the pressure treated wood looks, when I post my next blog/picture you will see how Keith wraps the entire pressure treated frame with white Azek boards to hide the ugliness of the pressure treated.
