Deck is framed in Derry NH
During Deck
There are many interesting things to discuss in this picture, first of all look how tremendous this deck is. Keith is standing on the deck and he is dwarfed by the size of this patio deck, as I mentioned in my last post the deck is 40×14 built with pressure treated materials and will have Azek decking and railings (some people call it composite decking or pvc decking).
Also, look at the tools and the mess on the ground, one thing to point out is by the end of the day the tools are packed up and the lawn is raked and all trash disposed of. We never, ever, leave the jobsite a mess. We treat your home with respect, no rubbish left on the lawn, no loud music playing during the day and especially no foul language. Most days you will find Keith singing to Jeremiah and making up songs, it’s very comical.
The decking is sitting off to the side of the house, not shown in this picture, we had PJ Currier Lumber deliver the materials from Amherst NH to Derry NH.
The Deck Project in Derry NH has Begun!

Very exciting, Keith dismantled the deck in this picture for our customer in Derry NH, dug all 9 sona tubes and had the Town Inspector from the Derry Building Department inspect all the holes, each one passed. The team at Allen Remodeling are very excited to start building this 40×14 deck which will be built along the entire back of the house. We are using pressure treated lumber for the framing of the deck to ensure the strength and integrity of the structure and then using Azek decking and Azek railings to complete the ensemble. We have built over 15 new decks this year for customers; people are staying local for the summer and enjoying their own backyard.
The Merrimack NH Deck is complete

We completed the Merrimack NH deck a few weeks ago and the customer is thrilled with the outcome, they emailed me that they have been having coffee on the deck everyday and just love the craftsmanship and the quality of the work. You will notice in the picture that we installed white vinyl lattice around the entire bottom of the deck and installed a small door so the Homeowner can store lawn and garden items safely under the deck.
Today Keith is going to dig 9 sona tube holes for a customer in Derry NH, we are building a 40×14 deck for this customer. Finally the rain has let up enough so he can properly dig the holes without having them fill up with water. Tomorrow we will have the Town Inspector come by to make sure the new sona tube’s dimensions are indeed 8’X48” wide.
Keith – Up on a Ladder
Keith is chalking the exterior casing of the replacement windows we installed for this customer in Merrimack NH. Whenever installing replacement windows, we usually install Harvey Industry Replacement Windows, you must chalk the exterior of the window to ensure a weather tight seal.
Also visible in this picture is the staircase for the Azek deck we built for this Homeowner. The stairs are 3’ wide allowing enough room to carry patio furniture and multiple people up and down the stairs. Look closely at the bottom of the stairs at beautiful piece of granite installed for the staircase to rest on, who can resist the charm of granite.
