Milford NH home looks superb!!

by Allen

Siding Complete

It is hard to tell from the picture that we actually redid the siding on this home. The vinyl siding is a perfect color match of the original wood siding. Jeremiah and Eric removed the existing siding and installed foam insulation board onto of the exterior sheathing (plywood) for extra home insulation. Then they installed Certainteed Monogram, “Red Barn” vinyl siding and used metal to wrap all the windows and doors.

Keith installed Azek trim boards (made by the same people that make Azek decking) around the doors, garage doors and corners for extra sturdiness, aesthetic appearances and dent resistance. This Milford NH is looking superb, later next month we will be replacing some of the windows in the house.

Starting a vinyl siding job in Milford NH

by Allen

While the insulators and the drywall hangers are busy working at the addition in Lyndeborough right now we have a couple of weeks to work on a home in Milford NH installing new siding. This is a repeat customer, previously she lived in Temple NH and had Allen Remodeling build her a 4 season room addition on top of her existing deck, came out beautiful. This time she asked us to re-side her house and garage with vinyl siding. Currently she has wood siding on the house and we will be stripping the existing siding and installing CertainTeed Monogram, Barn Red color, Siding.

Lyndeborough inspections have passed for Frame, Electric and Plumbing

by Allen

We had our framing, electric and plumbing inspection today and everything passed. The inspector was very impressed with the quality work performed by Allen Remodeling. Tomorrow Quality Insulation of Nashua NH is coming to install the insulation in the walls and ceilings and next week Able Drywall of Merrimack NH will be in next week to install the drywall to the new addition.

A big shout out to Evan Jones, Master Electrician of Milford nh and John King Plumbing and Heating of New Boston NH for doing such an awesome job on the rough plumbing and rough electric!!

The Homeowner had this to say about our inspection:

Barbara and Keith,

So nice to hear the building inspector saying things like “good craftsmanship” and “most people don’t bother” and “nice neat work you won’t find and thing wrong with that” and a few other nice things. He is ready to see it insulated… Nice.

Lyndeborough addition is framed and sided

by Allen

What a difference a few months can make, the before picture was taken in February and the after picture was taken mid April. Keith, Jeremiah and Eric finished the siding this month, they also refurbished the barn and converted it into a two car garage.

If you look to the right of the addition on the before and after picture you will notice how slick the new garage looks. Besides reframing the front of the barn to resemble a garage Keith needed to pour a cement pad for the garage floor and build a couple of knee walls to support the barn that was leaning.

The windows are from Harvey Industry , they are beautiful double hung windows to meet the energy savings requirements, they include low-e/argon and have full screens. For the siding Keith installed Azek , pvc boards, for additional strength and reinforcement. The turret was a nice addition to the building, it enhances the antiqueness of the whole building.

And if you are wondering why there are balloons on the front stairs, they were a gift from me for Keith’s 50th birthday!!!
