The second story on the garage addition in Amherst NH is completely framed and there is plywood on the roof.  I crawled through the house window to get onto the second story of the addition and took a look at the views from my vantage point.  What a beautiful place to live with the trees starting to change color.

The kitchen remodel in Amherst NH is coming to a close and looks beautiful.  A big thank you to our interior designer DB Interiors from Merrimack NH, our electrician Evan Jones of Milford NH and our plumber Dave Pollack of Merrimack NH they all did a fabulous job!  The granite countertops were just installed and Keith is finishing up the remainder of the painting and touch up in the kitchen.  The Homeowner has asked us Keith to paint the dining room and living room and they want their master bathroom redone.  We will be keeping very busy in Amherst NH this winter working for this Homeowner and the addition we are building on Chestnut Hill Road.  Call Allen Remodeling for all your General Contractor, building and Home improvement needs.

Yesterday Jeremiah and Tyler (not pictured) started building the garage in Amherst NH.  This addition will be a garage on the first floor and a family room on the second floor.  The guys did the framing and built the walls for the first floor in one day, amazing!!!  Today we are waiting for the floor trusses/joist to be delivered so they can lay the foundation for the second story.  The reason we are using floor trusses so there is no need for lally columns in the garage.  These floor trusses are engineered beams to ensure they can provide the correct carrying weight for the second floor, amazing this type of technology!

This past Spring we built a stand alone, detached, garage in Merrimack NH to have a loft/storage space above, that addition came out beautiful!!

The foundation forms have been set for the garage addition in Amherst NH and are ready to be removed.  The Town of Amherst Building Inspector will be by the jobsite on Monday morning to check that we meet the correct NH Building Codes.  We had Kenny Rocca of Wilton NH using his excavator to dig the hole and JC Foundations, Jeff Creighton, out of Greenville NH set the forms.  Once the foundation passes inspection Kenny will be back to backfill the foundation and the guys can start their framing for this addition, which will have a family room above for future use.  This project should take us approximately 6 weeks to completely build, insulate, drywall, roof, install siding and install windows.
