Solution for heat loss through your windows

Happy New Year and welcome to 2014 one of the coldest winters that I can remember.  Many people have mentioned that they have severe heat loss through their windows and with this cold weather their windows are collecting ice on the inside panels of the windows.  My first suggestion is to install new replacement windows that meet UV standards regulated by the State.  We use Harvey Building Products windows which they custom make in their New England workshops.  When we remodeled our home in Amherst NH we only used Harvey products.

If installing replacement windows or new construction windows is not in your current budget then I would recommend purchasing window treatments that will cover and insulate the interior of your windows.  They window treatments will assist in retaining the heat from escaping the windows.
